Qualifying stage and drivers’ parade open the rally celebration in Liepāja
The always exciting FIA European Rally Championship event Rally Liepāja officially got underway today, with the opening ceremony that included a drivers’ parade through the streets of Liepāja. Before the parade, crews got some stage kilometres under their belt during shakedown and the qualifying stage, which was won by Polish driver Miko Marczyk.

Upon presentation of a valid EU Digital Covid Certificate, person (from age of 12) will be able to attend the event if the person has completed the full vaccination course of Covid-19, has recovered from Covid-19 in the last 6 months or has a negative Covid-19 test result. Children up to 12 years of age can attend the event for free, and if they are accompanied by people with valid EU Digital Certificates, the children will not have to show their certificate in the ticket exchange point.

European and World rally stars to compete in Rally Liepāja
Rally Liepāja, round two of the FIA European Rally Championship, will take place from July 1 to 3 in the Talsi and Liepāja regions. This year, a total of 61 crews will be tackling the stages, among whom we can find European champions, drivers with global recognitions, talented Latvian crews, as well as guests from countries including Argentina, Chile, and Turkey.

Rally Liepāja open for public, spectators must have valid EU Digital Covid Certificate
Round 2 of the 2021 FIA European Rally Championship is set to run with spectators along the special stages. As per current legislation in Latvia, Rally Liepāja is open only to spectators that are able to present valid EU digital Covid certificate, thus validating a fact of full vaccination cycle or recovery from Covid-19 in the past 180 days.

ERC's double-header structure remains with new dates for Azores and Fafe rallies
The FIA European Rally Championship’s double-header concept developed by promoter Eurosport Events and sanctioned by motorsport’s world governing body, the FIA, remains in place following the rescheduling of the 55th Azores Rallye and Rally Serras de Fafe e Felgueiras.

New date for ERC 55th Azores Rallye under discussion
Move follows rise in COVID-19 cases on São Miguel island. New date requires approval of FIA, FPAK and Eurosport Events with announcement to be made as quickly as possible.
