Autobrava winner’s race and Seat Ateca unveiling to take place during Rally Latvija
During the last round of the Latvian Rally Championship, Rally Latvia, a special “Autobrava winner’s race”, a competition between past Rally Latvija winners – Ivars Caune, Ivars Vasaraudzis, Mārtiņš Balodis, Jānis Vorobjovs, and Aivis Egle will take place. During the race, drivers will have to be the fastest through a track set up inside Biķernieki Complex Sports Base while driving a Seat Ateca, and will only be able to use the car’s built-in 360 degree video cameras to see the track.

Rally Latvija start numbers given out during the press conference
Today, Rally Latvija press conference took place in Autobrava car dealership in Rīga. During the press conference, attending drivers were given their rally start numbers for this weekend. The event favourite Kalle Rovanpera received #1, and Ralfs Sirmacis, who was third overall in the 2016 European Rally Championship, received #M28, as he will be competing in Minirally Latvija. Andris Velme, who will be competing in Historic Rally Latvija along with his brother, and driver, Ivars Velme, in a unique Audi Quattro, reiceived #H1.

Tickets to Rally Latvija now available
Starting today, the Rally Latvija spectator kit – consisting of two tickets for all stages and service park, a parking ticket for one vehicle, as well as a spectator information booklet with special stage maps and start times, descriptions of spectator areas, and safety information – is available in Hydroscand locations in Rīga and Tukums. Rally Latvija spectator kit costs 20.00 EUR.

Rally Latvija to thrill spectators in Jūrmala, Tukums, Biķernieki track and Sports complex 333
Final round of the Latvian Rally Championship, Rally Latvija, will consist of 14 special stages, taking place in Jūrmala, Tukums, and on two race tracks – Biķernieki and Sports Complex 333. A total stage distance of 102 kilometres will be a true challenge to local rally drivers, with this being the only rally in the Latvian championship to feature 50% of total stage distance on asphalt covered roads!

Last round of the 2016 Latvian Rally Championship, Rally Latvia, promises to be exciting and conclude this rally season in style. Rally Latvia is included in not only national, but international motorsports series calendars – drivers will compete for a victory in a total of eight different championships and cups, giving spectators the opportunity to see various classes of cars driving on the autumnal Latvian roads!
