‘This festival is a great feast, where everyone should feel safe and could enjoy different kinds of entertainment. From the first day when we decided to organize Halls Winter Rally on 2017, we knew we needed to guarantee safety of guests and participants, local residents and their property’, Halls Winter Rally Director Ramūnas Kliunka said.
60 000 meters of STOP tape, 2000 warning signs, 3000 fencing stakes, 1000 meters of metal fence, special drills with generators, fence builders with special equipment, graders, tractors, hundreds of security officers, special services, great number of volunteers, hundreds of whistles, reflectors and other equipment is going to the special stages in order to ensure safe environment for the rally spectators. This infrastructure marked with the slogan ‘For The Safe Road’ is being set up in Utena and Molėtai regions specifically for the rally weekend.
‘Security measures at the special stages are very important. We should not forget the importance of the release of information about the security, the coming and leaving of guests. Lithuanian Ministry of Transport and Communications, Road Administration, police officers, fire brigade and rescue service and ambulance are cooperating to ensure security during the rally. Security is the key priority to good rally’, Mr. Kliunka said.
The organizers made sure that all the information and rules of security would appear on TV and radio, outdoor advertisements, flyers, official website www.hallswinterrally.lt/en/ and social media.
11th Halls Winter Rally will be held in Utena and Molėtai regions on January 27-28. The participants will have to complete 12 specials stages, 6 of them during night period.
