Markko Märtin has won 5 WRC events during his active career. He has been working closely as a mentor with the current leader of the WRC series Ott Tänak. As an addition to Shell Helix Rally Estonia entry list Markko Märtin and Kristo Kraag are real treat for the rally fans who can cheer the two most successful Estonian rally drivers at Shell Helix Rally Estonia.

The addition of Markko Märtin and Kristo Kraag with Ford Fiesta WRC is in my opinion on the same level of importance. In 2010 they became the first winners of Rally Estonia and we are honored to have them here again. Markko has an important role in the development of Estonian rally. Rally Estonia is part of it and I’m looking forward to his feedback about the stages and organization of our event.”

There will be a total of 7 latest generation WRC cars at Shell Helix Rally Estonia: Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja (Toyota Yaris WRC), Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin (Ford Fiesta WRC), Esapekka Lappi and Janne Ferm (Citroen C3 WRC), Andreas Mikkelsen and Anders Jaeger-Amland (Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC), Craig Breen and Paul Nagle (Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC), Markko Märtin and Kristo Kraag (Ford Fiesta WRC), Georg Gross and Raigo Mõlder (Ford Fiesta WRC). Besides them Valerii Gorban and Sergei Larens (Mini Cooper WRC) with older generation WRC car.
