Nikolay Gryazin was fastest in LRC ABS, while Jānis Vorobjovs was quickest in the all-wheel drive LRČ1 class. Aurimas Eidžiūnas / Giedrius Saudargas (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) took the top spot on the podium in LRČ2 class, while the front-wheel drive LRČ3 and LRČ5 classes were won by, respectively, Gregor Jeets / Kuldar Sikk (Ford Fiesta) and Arvis Vecvagars / Gints Gaiķis (Renault Clio). Meanwhile, Raiko Aru / Veiko Kullamae (BMW 1M) were the fastest in the rear-wheel drive LRČ4 class.

Nikolay Gryazin: “The car was prepared very well. The team worked through the night to get it ready for the event, so I would like to thank them. We had to change up our driving style a bit, trying to increase our pace throughout the day. We used hard compound tires, which did not work well in the morning loop. In the afternoon I made a mistake on an asphalt section and spun, losing a few seconds. That was followed by a jump where I did not slow down enough and landed quite hard. Once again, I would like to thank my team and my father, who made it possible for me to take part in this event with Hyundai. Thanks to all my supporters!”

Latvian Rallysprint Cup also had an event today, with competitors tackling three special stages. The fastest crews overall were Uldis Lepiksons / Ainars Šteinbergs (Ford Puma, 2WD Open) and Kristers Cimdiņš / Renārs Šķenders (BMW 330, Klasika 3000).

Historic Sport class cars tackled the full six stages today, with the class wins going to Normunds Otomers / Dāvis Arājs (Opel Ascona, winning both Historic ABS and Historic 2WD classes) and Jānis Vanags / Muntis Vanags (Lada 21013, Historic LADA).
