    Grossi Toidukaubad Viru Rally offers a selection of new stages

    Grossi Toidukaubad Viru Rally, held on 13-14th of June, is this year a round of Estonian and Latvian rally championship. Like in previous years this rally offers lots of new aspects to spectators and drivers. Some things that are characteristic to Viru Rally remain the same, for example Rakvere City Super Special which is held on Friday.

Grossi Toidukaubad Viru Rally is known about the fact that gravel stages will include tarmac parts more then usual rallies in Baltics. Rally director Madis Halling confirms that every stage of Viru rally contains also a tarmac part. When we take the numbers, the picture will look like this: 11 stages with 112,4 kilometers and 26,2 % of it is on tarmac.

When route manager Imre Saks did recce for the stages he found some parts what were never used before for the rally. On Saturday the best place to watch the rally is like in previous years Kehala Ring. Spectators will have a good overview over the Kehala Ring and as many stages go through Kehala Ring this is the place to be.

New thing in Grossi Toidukaubad Viru Rally is official shakedown held on Thursday. Lenght of the stage is 3 km.

Start and finishpodium of Grossi Toidukaubad Viru Rally is in Rakvere centre. Entries will be closed on Saturday (07.06.2014) and at the moment total 63 crews are in the entry list. Grossi Toidukaubad Viru Rally Spectators Guide can be found in Autoleht, published on Wednesday, 11th of June and in newspaper Kuulutaja published on Friday, 13th of June. Rallyradio is Radio Kuku in frequency 99,6 Mhz and it speaks also Latvian as Oskars Kaneps-Kalninš is crossing fingers in studio for Latvian drivers.
